Recognizing its responsibility to maintain physical properties, while affording dignity and respect to every individual, the objective of the Monroe Housing Authority is to improve the quality of life through a community partnership which promotes decent and safe neighborhoods.

Monroe Housing Authority owns and manages a diverse portfolio of housing solutions including properties for families, persons with disabilities, and retirees. These 3,802 housing choices include: 1,562 Housing Choice Vouchers; 1,522 Public Housing residences; and 718 LIHTC, 202s, and other mixed finance residences.
